Brown Bag Sessions: Resilience Part I - Self-Awareness in the Face of Adversity
Have you ever experienced an incident where you just can't help feeling an overload of emotions and you end up breaking down or lashing out?
This may be a common case of "amygdala hijack", where the emotional storage in your brain overwrites your sensory and cognitive functions. Your emotions cloud your judgement and thoughts, resulting in negative and destructive outbursts like snapping or spiraling.
Though these outbursts can feel uncontrollable, there is a way to fortify yourself against them.
Join us in this session as we explore building self-awareness in the face of adversity. Learn how to identify your sub-conscious tendencies and what you can do to consciously react in more constructive ways. This is a 2-part special in Resilience.
We will be discussing the following question. Take some time to gather your answers before the sharing.
